About

An Afternoon of Frolic, Regalement, and Entertainment!

The West Feliciana Historical Society is thrilled to announce the inaugural Azalea Polo Classic taking place at 2:00 PM, Sunday, April 16, 2023, on the grounds of the West Feliciana Parish Parks and Recreation. The event will feature an official polo match from the New Orleans Polo Club (NOPC).

The NOPC is comprised of a diverse membership of male and female players recognized by the United States Polo

Association (USPA); currently the New Orleans group is the only active polo club in the state of Louisiana. True to its international heritage, the NOPC hosts players from a variety of nations including Argentina, Australia, Brazil, the Dominican Republic, Egypt, England, France, Guatemala, Mexico and New Zealand.

Patrons can look forward to enjoying an exciting equestrian event while relishing live music, cocktails, and hors d’oeuvres. The West Feliciana Historical Society & Museum will use all proceeds to help maintain the museum, pay the salary of the museum director and part-time curator, create exhibits, refurbish exhibits, support the preservation of papers and other relics, and encourage tourism.

We expect tickets to sell quickly.  Various levels of sponsorship are available. Please consider supporting the West Feliciana Parish Historical Society & Museum.

Join us in supporting the historical preservation of our parish and enjoy a fabulous afternoon of polo.
