St. Francisville is more than just a town; it’s a feeling. Our charming small town has long been a place and a destination for people to gather and unwind to experience our town’s natural beauty, unique art, music, entertainment, and history.

The West Feliciana Historical Society, founded in 1969, was established to foster an awareness of local history and promote tourism in St. Francisville and West Feliciana Parish. To that end, the Society is excited to host the New Orleans Polo Club once again at our 2nd Annual Azalea Polo Classic.

Serving as the Historical Society’s primary fundraiser, our inaugural Azalea Polo Classic brought more
than 500 enthusiastic and fashion forward people to West Feliciana for a sold-out New Orleans Polo Club
match. Patrons were welcomed into a majestic white tent in the lush open fields of our parish park to enjoy
fellowship, music, champagne, craft cocktails and specialty hors d’ oeuvres while enjoying the parish’s first
ever professional polo match. We were thrilled to have Maker’s Mark as one of our sponsors and are excited
to have them commit again for 2024.

The generous support and donations from our sponsors enabled the Historical Society to offer ticket holders
the opportunity to enjoy a sophisticated and unique experience while witnessing the sense of community we
foster with residents and tourist alike.

As we begin the planning for our 2nd Annual Azalea Polo Classic, scheduled for April 14, 2024, we ask for
your help to continue the important work of the West Feliciana Historical Society by making a tax-deductible
donation. Your support will ensure that the society can continue to restore and maintain the West Feliciana
Historical Society Museum which is housed in a two-story historic building, located in the heart of the St.
Francisville Historic District. The museum also serves as a welcome center offering information and details on local attractions to hundreds of tourists each year. The museum is completely self-funded, and your donation will help pay the salary of the museum director and part time curator, create and refurbish exhibits, support
the preservation of papers and other relics, and encourage tourism.
